Trisha and Nik Join the Dark Side

We’re all a bunch of big nerds here, and couldn’t have been more excited about the different Science-Fiction themed weddings and engagement shoots that we’ve been getting. This engagement session takes the cake. We’re beyond thrilled to showcase this Star Wars themed shoot, just in time for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (which we’ll be viewing tonight). Whoo Hooo! Photographer’s Note: Austin residents Trisha and Nik are officially joining the Dark Side. Ten years ago I met Nik, world-famous drummer, while we were both working in Orange County at a music shop. We’ve stayed in touch over the years and a few months ago he messaged me about shooting he and Trisha’s wedding in Orange County next year. Elated, my answer was a resounding yes. Since we last saw each other, I’ve relocated to Houston and Nik and Trisha are now just a few hours away in Austin. Because we are so close, I suggested we do an engagement session to get some cool photos and let them get their camera jitters out of the way. They weren’t crazy about the idea of engagement photos at first…but they eventually decided they wanted to give it a go…with one condition. They wanted nerdy and over the top engagement photos that were Star Wars themed.

I was really excited to travel to Endor, I mean Austin to see Nik after many, many years…but was even more excited to be a part of such an amazing idea.
